Beaches of El Nido Part II // The Philippines

Ahhhh El Nido. Paradise on earth. If you are lucky enough to visit the island of Palawan, you must make the trip to El Nido. Known for it’s crystal clear waters and beautiful boat tours, El Nido is a beach lover’s dream.

This is my second installment featuring El Nido’s amazing beaches. You can see the first one here.

The first series of images on the post were taken in El Nido town. If you keep strolling along the beach to right and just keep going you will follow a wooded trail that leads to a rocky beach. If you are looking for a place to sunbath and enjoy the island in a secluded place, this is a great spot.

The other set of images is from a fantastic little spot that my french friends, Scottie (Maxime) and Stephanie discovered… a little beach bar called La Plage. We spent days on end sitting at here drinking Pastis, playing with dogs, and laying flat on our backs in the water. We actually spent so much time here that my next post will also be images from La Plage, which is also an ideal spot to watch the sunset. I must give a shout out to Maxime and Stephanie. I met them my first day in El Nido on a the boat trip, and kept running into them, and then we basically spent a week lounging on the beach together.

You can walk from El Nido town or take a Tuk Tuk, La Plage will be on your right hand side in Corong-Corong.

It’s rare that I’m in a place longer than a week when I’m traveling, because I like to see as many places as I can. So I only planned to spend 4 days in El Nido, and I spent 14 instead. I fell in love.

If you want to lounge all day and then watch a spectacular sunset, this is my place of choice. They often have great music playing and sometimes DJs in the evening. They have beautiful drinks and fresh delicious food. AND PUPPIES! We literally spent days on end here, which is why it deserves 2 blog posts.

Thank you, El Nido!
