Kandy Sri Lanka // Things to Do

Kandy Temples, Botanical Gardens, Traditional Dance, and Fine Dining

After a few nights in Negombo where I met Seema, an another New Yorker traveling alone, we decided to head to Kandy, one of the most popular towns to visit in Sri Lanka. Kandy is great base for exploring many (if not most of) Sri Lanka, and although it was a bit touristy, the town is fun to explore.

Where to stay: We had no plan on where to stay, but as soon as we got off the bus we found a driver and he offered to take us to a place within our budget. I can’t believe it, but I still have the laminated card with the address. It was a great room in a private house and great price. Address: 32/12 A, Sangaraja Mawatha Kandy.
