Train Ride from Kandy to Nuwyara Eliya

After a few days exploring Kandy, I decided to hop on one of Sri Lanka’s famous scenic train routes from Kandy to Nuwarya Eliya and Ella. Trains are the best and cheapest way to get around in Sri Lanka and the scenery along the way is world famous. We passed sweeping views of tea plantations, waterfalls, and perfect tiny train stations. One of the things I liked about riding the trains in Sri Lanka vs India is that the trains were not crowded and it wasn’t difficult to get tickets. Even if you’re on a high budget and renting a car to drive around the country, I recommend taking a train trip for the experience.
