We found a house and it’s perfect! It’s a sunny three bedroom house with a big beautiful garden. Safe and secure, near the most happening area of Johannesburg (Melville). I’m so relived and excited. Pictures coming soon. The grand total for this house is 7,000 rand a month, which is about $930. Total, not per person!

Right now I’m staying with four South African girls in Aukland Park, not far from Melville. They made me try a traditional dish, tripe. Sounds good, right? It translates to cow intestines. I politely ate, and they laughed at my reaction. I let the girls finish off my portion. Everyone is so nice, and constantly going out of their way to help me and that I’m doing alright in their country. I even got a random discount on my phone! Thanks, Obama! (I’m convinced it’s because we have a new president, everyone loves Obama here, understandably).

Jazz and Alli are arriving monday, and I can feel their excitement in our correspondences. It’s happening! And each day I spent here, each person I meet, I know this is the right place to make KAC happen.
