My business partners arrived safely, and we are slowly setting into our new house and finding our collective It’s getting warmer here; every day is bright sunny and perfect. However, it’s also extremely dry.

The other day I went to an all day hip-hop show, Masters of Rhythm. There where probably 3,000 people there, and I was probably one of 10 white people at the show. But no seemed to care. It was a funny show because the breakdance crews were trying be NYC cool, but there were a few impressive acts towards the end. Videos coming soon.

Jazz’s network is amazing. We could probably manage to get on any guest list in town. Everything she had been telling me about Johannesburg is true. There is an artist movement here and we’re right smack in the middle of a network of some of the most incredible artists in the city. Access is easy here. It’s incredible. I’ve already scheduled a photo shoot with a fashion designer developing her own line, and the other day I met a photographer who works with many of the photo agencies here, and he offered to help me find work.

We’ve projected $0 revenue for our first month, but I have feeling we’ll find work here quick. Life is a good here in SA. I knew I couldn’t do another Boston winter, and now I’m living in the of the best climates in the world. What could better for the soul?
