I’ve known Jesse and Luisa since my days in Boston. I don’t know what else to say, expect they are totally badass! For the past three years they’ve been traveling the world together from Mongolia to Taiwan to Bali, and so many places in between. They eventually settled in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City), Vietnam where they have been teaching English. But next month, Jesse and Luisa are finally moving back to the states. They will be tying the knot in Jesse’s beautiful hometown, Cape Cod, and I will be photographing their wedding. I’m honored and thrilled to be a part of what is bound to be one of the most colorful weddings I’ve done. After years of traveling, they intend to settle down for a while in, none other than Jamaica Plain, Boston the very neighborhood in which we first met and became friends. I had been traveling for 3.5 months before arriving to Saigon to Jesse and Luisa. I was freshly injured from a motorbike accident in Cambodia, and they took me in, and took care of like good friends do! We had such a fun time doing their engagement photos, which is ultimately the most epic engagement shoot I’ve done since it was in one of the craziest cities in the world over a three day period. Some of Luisa’s close Vietnamese friends volunteered to do her hair and make-up before the shoot, and truly felt like it was the wedding day itself. The shoot also included giant beers, (see last photo) which is pretty epic. Jesse and Luisa, I love you dearly, and I can’t wait to celebrate with you and document your day. These pictures are absolutely beautiful. You have a truly unique spirit, one that is combined with the courage of a fighter,the humility of a servant, and the wisdom of a child of God. Keep those qualities regardless of what life offers to you because it is a combanation as you are. It comes with ups and downs, humility and victory, and joy as well as sadness. The joy always prevails the sorrow as long as you always stay true to the amazing qualities that have gotten you this far.
