It’s not every day you get asked by two handsome Texans to photograph their same-sex destination wedding in New York City. It was a privilege to document Frank Billingsley (Teaxans, you might recognize him from TV!) and Kevin Gilliard as they tied the knot at the Eventi Hotel after 17 years together. The wedding ceremony was held on 12-12-12, and began at 8:12, because they first met on 8-12, 1995.
It was a tuxedo-required affair and all the men looked so handsome in their tuxes! Frank and Kevin’s son, Morgan did a beautiful reading that made the whole crowd weep (including me!). Guests enjoyed a delicious cake, designed by legendary NYC cake designer Sylvia Weinstock There were 54 guests in all, many of whom partied until 2 because nobody wanted the evening to end! It was such a pleasure getting to know Kevin and Frank, accompanied by stories from their family and friends as they raised their glasses. Congrats, gentlemen. I hope you enjoy photos as much as I enjoyed taking them.
