Koh Phi Phi Beach Resort Wedding

Updated January 14, 2021

12 friends on an island celebrating love and life? What could be better? Not much, I’ve decided.

Aimee and Michael came across the world from Seattle to Koh Phi Phi island for their “friends only” wedding, held at the beautiful, simple Koh Phi Phi Beach Resort. It was attended by 12 of their closest friends, with no family (not even parents) on the guest list. And yes, it was awesome. I think more couples should ditch “unity candles” and and replace them with ceremonial slosh buckets of Thai whiskey.

After a delicious dinner and some rockin’ tunes (provided by the reggae bar next door) there was only one thing left to do: take a boat into town, drink some whiskey, and watch a comedy of characters attempt Mauy Thai boxing at Koh Phi Phi’s popular “Mauy Thai Reggae Bar.” It was a privilege and delight to be part of Aimee and Michael’s celebration, in truly, one of the most beautiful areas of the world.
