Sometimes you just have to say, “forget it, we’re eloping.” Not only did I serve as Susan and Kristin’s photographer, I was also the sole witness to their New York City Hall wedding. There is something truly special about that. When Susan told me that they only wanted black and white pictures, I was thrilled. Especially for City Hall weddings, I think black and white photos give the event a classy, documentary feel. And what a cool thing to see two people who have been together as long as they have, finally have their moment. “We wanted to wait until New York legalized same-sex marriage. And I’m glad we did… we didn’t want to go anywhere else.”
