Old Stone House Wedding | Park Slope LGBTQ Wedding Photographer
Andrea & Alice’s DIY LGBTQ Old Stone Wedding House in Brooklyn
Updated May 27, 2025
I met Andrea and Alice while guerrilla marketing my wedding photography services at the 2011 New York City Pride Parade. I was holding a handmade sign that read “Gay Wedding Photographer”—a bold move that would lead to one of the most heartfelt weddings I’ve had the honor of documenting.
Not only did they become the most amazing clients a photographer could ask for, but they’ve since become good friends. Their wedding took place just blocks from my home (and theirs!) at the gorgeous and historic Old Stone House in Park Slope, Brooklyn.
Every detail of their day reflected their personalities and their love for each other—from the handmade headpieces and vibrant purple dresses to the DIY florals crafted with the help of family and friends. The ceremony brought many to tears, and their bond was felt deeply by everyone present.
This wedding holds a special place in my heart, as it was the first same-sex wedding I photographed after starting my career. It reminded me of why I do this work—not just to take beautiful images, but to celebrate love in all its forms. 💜
Congratulations, Andrea and Alice—here’s to many joyful years ahead!
