Italian Korean Wedding at Liberty House

Updated May 27, 2025

A stunning city celebration with a touch of Korean tradition

The Liberty House in Jersey City is one of my favorite wedding venues in the NYC area, so I always get excited when couples choose it for their big day. With its sweeping skyline views and that perfect balance of elegance and ease, it never disappoints.

Roxana and Jesse began their wedding day across the river at the Mondrian SoHo, where the floor-to-ceiling windows gave us gorgeous light and iconic city views for getting-ready moments and portraits. From there, we made our way to Liberty House for a celebration that blended sleek city style with heartfelt cultural tradition.

Roxana, who comes from an Italian-Korean background, thoughtfully wove in elements of Korean wedding tradition—including the symbolic tossing of chestnuts and jujubes, which the bride catches with her dress to signify future children. It was playful, beautiful, and a perfect reflection of the joy and intention behind the day.

Big thanks to my second shooter, Lena Shkoda—a few of her images are included in this post.
