Some of my favorite photos from Mark and Vanessa’s Metropolitan Building wedding in Long Island City. The Metropolitan Building is one of my all time favorite wedding venues and I absolutely love photographing in all its endless creative nooks and crannies. It is one of those rare venues that feels like stepping into a dream. With its towering ceilings, weathered wood floors, and rooms filled with antique mirrors, chandeliers, and vintage curiosities, it’s a space that invites creativity and romance in equal measure.

Originally built in 1909 as a factory, the building has been transformed into a multi-level event space that retains its industrial charm while offering a curated, almost cinematic atmosphere. Each floor has its own character, from sun-drenched rooms with peeling paint and tall windows to moody nooks perfect for intimate moments.

Photographing a wedding here is a visual feast. The interplay of natural light and eclectic decor creates endless opportunities for capturing both grand, sweeping shots and quiet, candid moments. It’s a venue that doesn’t just host a wedding—it becomes an integral part of the story.
