Prospect Park Engagement Session with a Gorgeous Queer Couple

I’ve found Prospect Park to be one of Brooklyn’s best-kept secrets for portraits—a perfect, laid-back alternative to the always-packed Central Park. I spent a golden afternoon photographing and getting to know these two radiant ladies, whose wedding I’ll be capturing next year (and I already can’t wait!).

Even though I’ve photographed in Prospect Park many times, I love how it continues to surprise me. Often, it’s just a matter of following the light—like in the very first frame of this post, where a sun-dappled patch created the dreamiest portrait setting.
