River Cafe Wedding | Danielle + Laura

Dumbo Wedding

Updated May 27, 2025

It feels great to be blogging again! I’m thrilled to share Danielle and Laura’s River Cafe Wedding in Dumbo Brooklyn. This venue holds a special place in my heart, as it’s where I shot one of my very first weddings after moving to Brooklyn (I lived just down the street on Front Street).

There’s nothing quite like a wedding at The River Café. Tucked under the Brooklyn Bridge with sweeping views of the Manhattan skyline, this iconic spot offers one of the most breathtaking backdrops in all of New York City. It’s classic, elegant, and timeless—with just the right amount of old-school Brooklyn charm.

The River Café is known for its fine dining and impeccable service, but what makes it really special is the feeling: intimate, romantic, and deeply New York. The lush garden entrance feels like a secret tucked away beneath the bridge, and once inside, every window frames the skyline like a painting.

Photographing weddings here is always a dream. Whether it’s a golden-hour portrait on the waterfront, a candlelit toast inside the dining room, or a quiet moment between the couple on the garden path, the setting elevates everything. It’s a space that doesn’t just host a celebration—it helps define it.
