When Mary and Jakob started planning their wedding, Mary was in the middle of treatment for Lymphoma cancer and unsure of the outcome. “We are calling our wedding a celebration of life,” she told me in her email… and it was. This was one of the most emotional, expressive weddings I have shot, and the images I chose to share aim to reflect the incredibly wide range of emotions that stem from not only celebrating love, but the survival of cancer… or in other words, the joy of simply being alive.
