People often ask me how I got started doing Thailand wedding photography. It all started when I was a childhood friend, who was working for UN at the time invited me to visit and I made a plan to backpack around SE Asia. The year was 2011, and I was just starting my NYC wedding photography career…
A few months before I boarded a plan to Thailand for the first time, I had the idea to contact a few of the best thailand wedding photographers and offer to assist them in order to get some special weddings for my portfolio. Through doing this, I met a wonderful photographer named Julian Wainwright. I worked with him on a few weddings that year and we became good friends. Shortly after, I connected with one of the best Thailand planners, Aey of Dreamcatcher Events. After blogging the weddings we did together, I started to get a few inquiries for thailand wedding photography, and so for the last 10 years, I’ve spent the half the year in Asia and half the year in New York shooting weddings. It’s been a dream come true.
When Covid hit this year, I moved all my things out of my NYC apartment and shifted my base to Thailand. While things are still shut down here at the time of writing this post, I’m looking forward to photographing some Thailand weddings in 2021 and 2022, and I hope whoever is reading this will considering booking me for your thailand destination wedding.
